Kingwood "The Livable Forest" 
The master-planned community in Kingwood Texas. Designed by Friendswood Development Company in the 1970's, Kingwood has become a unique combination of residential villages, with over 500 acres of nature reserves and park area, more than 75 miles of private hike and bike trails, private community swimming pools, golf courses, shops restaurants and retail sites throughout. It is coming to its final phases with the addition of new homes ranging from the $120,000's to over $1 Million.  Below is a short description of some of the unique builders in Kingwood.

Oakhurst at Kingwood
Oakhurst is located in the town of Kingwood in Northeast Houston. Currently there are upwards of 800 homes. At the completion of this planned neighborhood there will be 1,400 homes. Prices range from $150,000 to $800,000's. Current builders in the Oakhurst area are Lennar, Highland Homes, Village Builders and Frontier Custom Builders. The Oakhurst community is supported by the New Caney Independent School District. Check with the Harris County Appraisal District  for the current Tax Rate. Lennar Homes
These fine homes, built by Lennar are listed in the $150,000 to $200,000 and offer anywhere from 1,800 to 2,130 square feet of living space.  Located in the Kingwood Real Estate area as a golf course community. With a swimming pool, clubhouse, playground and wooded walking trails.

Highland Homes
Highland Homes is privately owned Texas based homebuilder. The company has homes in the Oakhurst community selling from $260,000's to $280,000's.

Frontier Custom Builders

Frontier has homes in Kingwood, Royal Shores and Kingspoint Village. Eaglewood at Oakhurst homes seem to be selling like hotcakes! Frontier has beautiful furnished model homes open daily. Presently they have homes in the $500,000's.
